HPS Menu Planner

Menu Planner is a simple to use application designed to allow schools to build recipes and cycle menus while managing production records. Federal nutrition guidelines and reporting requirements have made compliance on school districts a difficult and time consuming task. Many members feel that existing menu planning applications fall short of meeting their needs, or are very difficult to implement. Menu Planner assists districts in the planning, publishing, managing and reporting of meal plans in an extremely simple and intuitive application.

Easy Setup

Building your menus and menu cycles will be easy HPS Menu Planner. The application automatically loads your purchase history so you will be able to find and use items you already purchase when building your menus and cycles. Additionally, any menus you have currently can be uploaded to jumpstart the setup. Finally, members will be able to post and share recipes with other districts using the application.

Managing Cycles

Menu cycles are easily maintained and edited using a “drag and drop” approach. Holidays and special meals are easily incorporated into cycles. The system provides production cycle input to meet USDA reporting needs and aid in future meal count and menu planning.!

Publish via Web and Mobile Apps

The application gives users the opportunity create custom views of the menus and publish menus on their website through a simple linking process. Parents will check interactive menus for their students using either a standard browser on their computer or through mobile apps available for both iOS and Android users. There will be additional functionality for parents to aid in meal planning, recipe management, and grocery shopping.
